Sonaírí Launch Concert: Awakening – An Evening with Sonaírí

This October, Drogheda will welcome the official launch of Sonaírí, an exciting new Irish vocal duo bringing fresh energy and elegance to opera, musical theatre, Irish song, and timeless classics.


Amie Dyer, soprano and David Corr, tenor, first met while studying for their Masters in Vocal Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where their shared passion for beautiful music, humour, and artistic expression developed into the creation of this unique duo. Since then, they have performed together at concerts, corporate events, and special occasions across Ireland and the UK.

Sonaírí’s repertoire is diverse from timeless opera arias like Puccini’s O Mio Babbino Caro and Nessun Dorma, to musical theatre favourites such as On the Street Where You Live and You’ll Never Walk Alone, to classical crossover works like Nella Fantasia and Pie Jesu. Their performances also celebrate Irish heritage with renditions of Danny Boy and Mo Ghille Mear.

About the Artistes

David Corr is an award-winning Irish tenor whose career spans prestigious stages including the National Concert Hall, Wigmore Hall, and the Grand Opera House. He has performed with Irish National Opera and Northern Ireland Opera in productions such as Carmen, La Bohème, and La Traviata, and is a recipient of the Deborah Voigt Opera Prize, the Voice of Northern Ireland Award, and the Irish Heritage Bursary.

Amie Dyer is a celebrated Irish soprano, known for her expressive voice . A graduate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she spent two years performing with the Linz Opera House in Austria. Her repertoire spans opera, sacred music, classical crossover, and traditional Irish song, including a special Irish-language version of Silent Night. Amie  has performed with the  Drogheda Male Voice Choir since she was 16, reflecting her deep ties to the local community.

Their launch concert in the stunning acoustics of St. Peter’s Church of Ireland, Drogheda, promises an unforgettable evening of musical storytelling
